Spending Pulse helps you understand your spending patterns over the last 30 days. Paste rows of transactions in TSV or CSV format (date, vendor, amount, category) or load the demo dataset to get started immediately. The app renders a smoothed line chart showing daily spending trends, displays your top 5 spending categories with percentages, and automatically flags any single transaction that exceeds twice the 30-day median amount. Use it to identify unusual purchases, track category spending, and spot trends in your financial behavior.
How to use
- Load demo data or paste transactionsClick 'Load Demo' to populate sample transactions, or paste your own rows in TSV/CSV format with columns: date, vendor, amount, category.
- View the 30-day spending chartThe smoothed line chart displays daily spending totals over the last 30 days, making trends and peaks easy to spot.
- Review top 5 categoriesSee which spending categories dominate your budget, displayed with percentages of total spend.
- Identify outlier transactionsTransactions flagged as outliers exceed twice the 30-day median amount, helping you spot unusual or large purchases.
- Clear and reimport as neededUse the clear function to remove all transactions and start fresh with a new dataset.
