About this app

Photo Journal is a personal photo storage app that lets you upload up to 10 images with short captions and browse them in a clean thumbnail grid. Each photo is stored securely using signed upload URLs and respects your per-user storage quota. You can view all your entries at a glance, add captions to remember the moment, and delete photos you no longer need. All uploads persist across sessions, so your memories stay safe.

How to use

Open your photo journal
Navigate to the entries page to see all your uploaded photos in a grid view.
Request an upload URL
Click the upload button and select a photo from your device. The app generates a signed PUT URL for secure upload.
Add a caption
Enter a one-line caption to describe the photo or remember the moment.
Submit the entry
Confirm the upload. Your photo and caption are saved to your journal.
View your gallery
Refresh the entries page to see your new photo appear in the thumbnail grid.
Delete a photo
Click the delete button on any thumbnail to remove it from your journal.
Check your quota
The app tracks your storage usage. If you reach 10 photos, you must delete one before uploading another.

Demo data

No demo data is seeded. On first use, the entries table is empty. You can immediately upload photos up to your per-user quota limit. Each upload creates a new entry with a unique blob key, caption, MIME type, and file size.

Privacy

Photo Journal stores the following user data in the entries table: id (unique entry identifier), user_id (your account ID), blob_key (reference to your stored image file), caption (your one-line description), mime (image format), size_bytes (file size), and created_at (upload timestamp). All data is retained as long as your account is active; deleting an entry removes it permanently.

Changelog

Initial release. Users can upload up to 10 photos with captions, view them in a grid, delete entries, and persist data across sessions. Quota enforcement prevents uploads beyond the per-user limit.
